Paco & Lola (Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana) is a cooperative winery located in the heart of DO Rías Baixas, established in 2005 by a group of about twenty growers who were tired of not getting a fair price for their grapes. Today, the co-op has nearly 500 members and their polka-dotted bottle now brings in more than €5 million in annual revenue.

The name and the signature polka-dot motif on the bottles was the result of the co-op’s search for a brand that would help them stand out, be easy to pronounce in both China and the United States, and be associated with Spain. “Paco & Lola” was designed for export, but its success has been so great that it has become the entire identity of the winery—so much so that almost no one outside Rías Baixas would know what the “Cooperativa Vitivinícola Arousana” is.
