Pazo Señorans is a leading producer in Rías Baixas, established in1979 by Marisol Bueno and Javier Mareque after acquiring a historic Galician pazo (manor house). The winery played a foundational role in the development of the Rías Baixas DO, and Bueno served as its first president. The estate was also instrumental in elevating Albariño's international profile. While known for its flagship Albariño, Pazo Señorans has gained particular recognition for its pioneering work with aged expressions of the grape. Wines like Selección de Añada, aged extensively on lees, demonstrate Albariño’s potential for longevity and bottle evolution. Today, Marisol and Javier’s daughter Vicky Mareque leads the estate, carrying forward her parents’ commitment to producing refined, cellar-worthy Albariño.
