Bodegas Granbazán

Located near Cambados, just 2 miles inland from the Ría de Arousa, Bodegas Granbazán was founded in 1981 by the Otero family under the name "Agro de Bazán." In 1989, they added a French-influenced manor house to the property, which now houses the winery. Granbazán was a pioneer in DO Rías Baixas, introducing innovative techniques such as cold-soaking grapes to extract more aromas and barrel aging.
In 2017, the winery was sold to Pedro Martínez, who also owns Bodegas Baigorri in Rioja Alavesa. The winery now farms around 12 hectares of estate vineyards and manages additional vineyards through partnerships with up to 80 different families. This unique network of growers allows Granbazán to source top-quality Albariño from a range of vineyards across the region. Winemaker Diego Ríos applies his experience in the Mosel to craft aromatic, acid-driven Albariño wines.
